Gentle Chiropractic Care for your Animals

Dr. Carlet is a Board Certified Chiropractor with over eight years of experience working with people and animals. She studied and observed animal behavior for six years prior as a biology field researcher in Alaska, Montana and Colorado. She started her practice, Optimal Life Wellness Center, in 2003 and has called Fort Collins home since 1992. Dr. Carlet is also a passionate horsewoman who enjoys trail riding, jumping, dressage and sometimes - just being at the barn! Her thorough understanding of animals, chiropractic and holistic health gives Dr. Carlet a unique blend of experience and knowledge to help your animals get out of pain and restore their natural mobility.

Dr. Carlet's technique is very gentle (light touch) and this allows the animal to relax, which releases tension much more effectively than if it was forced through a traditional chiropractic method. Animal responses are immediate and instantly recognizable.

How Many Visits Will They Need?

Animals heal much quicker than humans and require very few sessions to complete their healing process. If an animal is in acute pain or just recovered from surgery, one or two visits are usually appropriate.

Testimonials

"I met Dr. Lisa while trimming her horse's hooves. She noticed that my 6 month old Australian Shepherd was limping in her hind legs. I explained to her that she had taken a serious fall while jumping and playing. Nothing was broken but she was still in a lot of pain. After Dr. Lisa adjusted her and later that evening, I was totally in shock when Pebbles was able to jump into my lap. Before she got adjusted she was unable to jump into the truck or even on the couch."

"I originally had Dr. Lisa adjust my horse because she severely injured her hoof and I was afraid she would never be sound again.  After the first adjustment, two things amazed me.  First of all, how gentle the adjustment was.  I was expecting her to torque Lady’s neck.  Instead she put her hands on Lady in such a delicate way.  Secondly, I’ve never seen my horse so calm.  She’s a racing Quarter horse, so “hot” would describe her well.  She has calmed down so much since she’s been getting adjusted.  That alone is worth it."
